- 8+ years of experience in software development with expertise in Java , Spring , and Angular .
- 3+ years of experience in a senior or principal engineering role with team leadership responsibilities, preferably in the POS or similar software domain.
- Product development experience , including end-to-end involvement from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Proven experience designing and implementing high-performance, scalable cloud and software solutions.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, with a proactive attitude toward learning new technologies and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
- Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills, with experience collaborating and managing geographically distributed teams.
- Solid background in agile and scrum-based development practices.
- Design, develop, and deploy POS applications using Java, Spring, and Angular frameworks, ensuring quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, setting goals, managing priorities, and fostering a culture of accountability and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders across teams in the Philippines and Australia to define requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Drive the adoption of cloud-native architecture on the Google Cloud Platform, implement robust CI/CD practices, and integrate monitoring and automated deployment tools.
- Establish and optimize Agile workflows, code review standards, and testing processes to improve team efficiency and code quality.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in coding, architecture, and security to ensure long-term maintainability of solutions.
- Research and introduce emerging technologies and methodologies to continuously enhance the technology stack.
- Build and sustain a collaborative and innovative engineering culture, promoting knowledge sharing and teamwork across geographies.
