Night Manager

In this role you will assume responsibility of the hotel overnight. This role is very hands on and involves all aspects of Front Desk operations and ensuring the safety of the hotel overnight. Key responsibilities include welcoming late arrivals auditing the days transactions preparation of daily reports attending to reservations and handling guest complaints and challenges. This is a full time permanent position working night shifts between the hours of 11:00pm 07:30am on a rotating roster. With flexibility to support business needs as required. Your duties will include:
- Effectively manage the daily reconciliation of the Hotels trading.
- Check and prepare reports and statistical information in accordance with service standards and auditing procedures during the night shift.
- Represent the General Manager in their absence holding responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the Hotels overnight operation.
- Ensure maximum guest satisfaction as well as the safety and security of the property.
- Previous experience as a Night Manager in a medium to large hotel
- Diploma in Hospitality Tourism or Management
- Ability to resolve complaints and challenges
- Opera experience is preferred
- Full NZ Drivers License
- LCQ qualification and current Managers Certificate
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
- First Aid Certificate
