We are hiring another Scrum Master for our internal IT Software Dev Team! The Scrum Master will support agile teams in their ongoing quest for high performance, efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. Work schedule: Night Shift, 9PM - 6AM PH time, Monday to Friday Work Set up: Hybrid (majority of remote days with occasional visit to Makati office once or twice a month) Eligibility: Candidates with full working rights for the Philippines, based in Manila or nearby provinces. The Scrum Master should be:

  • Responsible for scrum ceremonies and processes
  • An Agile evangelist with a proven track record in Agile product delivery
  • Knowledgeable of Agile best practices
  • A leader, overseeing, and planning development activities
  • Working closely with Product Team and cross-functional teams
  • Sharing responsibilities for planning, organization, and execution of technology initiatives within Scrum
Some of the tasks of the Scrum Master are:
  • Facilitating Scrum Meetings, and Sprint Planning and retrospectives
  • Capacity Planning
  • Co-managing product backlogs
  • Capturing and supporting story creation, facilitating story breakdowns, and capturing estimates
  • Tracking sprint metrics (e.g. velocity, defects, sprint goals, etc.)
  • Utilizing team and sprint metrics such as burndown charts
  • Anticipating and responding to changes in direction, priority, and sprint performance, and resolving roadblocks for the team
  • Escalating issues and risks promptly and ensuring that all issues are addressed
  • Ensuring adherence to Agile practices
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science from a four-year college or university with at least two years of Agile experience.
  • CSM certification
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master PLUS 10 years experience as a software or application developer
  • Demonstrated experience in improving team cohesion and velocity
  • Experience using agile project management software
  • Solid understanding of EPICS, Features, Stories, and Acceptance Criteria
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Goal oriented
  • Effective decision-making skills
PLUS SKILLS:
  • SAFe
  • CSP certification
  • Jira
  • Lean
  • Kanban
  • Software development experience
  • Project management experience
