The Plattering Co is known for its creative and hearty sharing platters, bowls and bentos and beautiful cheese platters and grazing table displays. We are seeking a motivated and positive Chief of Staff to join our dynamic and fast- growing team. The Chief of Staff is responsible for assisting the Directors, Managing Director and senior management in strategic decision-making, managing day-to-day operations, and leading cross-functional projects to improve efficiency and profitability. This role serves as a key liaison between the executive team and other departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the company. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Execution: Work closely with the Directors, Managing Directors and senior leadership team to develop and implement business strategies that align with the company's goals. Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that strategic objectives are being met. Operational Management: Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery, including food preparation, logistics, customer service, and event execution. Collaborate with department heads (e.g., operations, sales, marketing, finance) to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Manage special projects, such as new service launches, expansion into new markets, or major event planning. Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and support department heads and other team members, providing guidance on best practices and performance improvement. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and high performance. Communication & Coordination: Serve as a point of contact between the Managing Directors and internal stakeholders, managing communication and ensuring alignment of goals. Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings for the Managing Directors, providing insights and recommendations on business matters. Coordinate leadership meetings, strategy sessions, and executive retreats. Customer & Client Relations: Support the Managing Director in building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, partners, and vendors. Ensure client satisfaction through excellent service standards and quick resolution of any issues. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations, management, or a similar leadership role, preferably within the hospitality or catering industry. Strong understanding of the catering business, including food service operations, logistics, and event planning. Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure. Proven track record of leading teams and driving operational improvements. Skills & Competencies: Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to solving business challenges. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with diverse teams. Strong analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Proficient in project management tools and software. Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on new challenges in a dynamic environment. Working Conditions: This position may require occasional travel to client locations, event venues, or industry events.
