As the Head of Events, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all aspects of event management and activation execution for our organization. You will be responsible for organizing, producing and executing a wide range of events, multiple scales, diverse size of attendance and complexity of concepts including Seasons, Celebrations, MICE and other potential events in cooperation with third party IP owners. You must be a seasoned expert, leader and agile to deliver all types of events in a leading Theme Park and Water Theme Park.

Job Overview

As the Head of Events, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all aspects of event management and activation execution for our organization. You will be responsible for organizing, producing and executing a wide range of events, multiple scales, diverse size of attendance and complexity of concepts including Seasons, Celebrations, MICE and other potential events in cooperation with third party IP owners. You must be a seasoned expert, leader and agile to deliver all types of events in a leading Theme Park and Water Theme Park.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a leader and expert in event management & production, you will play a fundamental role in establishing Six Flags Theme Park & Water Theme Park as leading destinations for consumer & corporate events in the region. You will ensure that our destinations are recognized for the safety, quality of execution and state of the art experience offered at all times.
  • Work closely with Concept & Programming team to build and deliver state of the art line up of events and activations aligned with our programming strategy, production & delivery capabilities.
  • Cooperate with Marketing, Entertainment, Sales & Corporate Alliance teams to ensure state of the art events and brand activations & experiences in our parks featuring our official sponsors or out of the park representing our Theme Park and Water Theme Park.
  • Collaborate and align with internal stakeholders to understand their event requirements and objectives.
  • Work jointly with Concept & Programming strategy team to deliver concepts and experiences.
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual setup, transportation, accommodations, and on-site staffing.
  • Manage allocated event budgets and ensure efficient utilization of allocated funds.
  • Participate in sales meetings and optimize commercial proposals by upselling and driving incremental revenue, while ensuring state of the art guest experience and satisfaction.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing or hospitality or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
  • Proven experience (9+ years) in planning and executing a wide range of events, MICE preferably in a leadership role.
Skills:
  • Access, Microsoft Excel/Word Programs.
  • Proven expertise and experience working for IP Holders, Events.

  • Team Synergy & Development: Proficiency Level - ADVANCED.
  • Business Acumen & Diligence: Proficiency Level - ADVANCED.
