In recognition of its high quality and patient safety, the AKUH is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) as an Academic Medical Centre and its Clinical Laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) for fast and accurate testing.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:supervise / coordinate to assure proper drug distribution and handling of prescription practices within assigned area.assist manager/specialist in executing plans to address the identified problems.assure the proper documentation of controlled drugs and the periodic monitoring of these records.maintain standard practices, compliance with accreditation standards (JCIA standards) and applicable laws and regulations.ensure that expiry monitoring, recalls and inventory related matters are regularly reviewed, resolved and documented.coach and train the interns and novice staff and ensure that their learning objectives of the area rotation and orientation points are properly covered.monitor the quality of service provided in terms of accuracy, timeliness, honesty and meeting service excellence standards.monitor services as per the applicable KPIs of that area e.g. turnaround time, errors or incidents etc. and assist management in implementing useful solutions to the problems identified.assist Manager and Specialist in implementing and adhering to policies and procedures.maintain a good professional relationship with other stakeholders like nurses, physicians and ancillary staff.RequirementsYou should have:Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy/Pharm.D.Master's degree in Pharmacy or relevant field and/or Professional Registration in other countries is preferred.Registered with Pharmacy Council in Pakistan.Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in hospital pharmacy of a large hospital, with 2 years at supervisory level.To ApplyYou should send your detailed CV by email to human.resources@aku.edu and mention the position applied for in the subject line.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Applications should be submitted latest by April 28, 2024.
