Division: ITJob Function: SoftwareEmployment Type: Full Time - PermanentLast date of application: 27-Mar-2024Job DescriptionSKILLS REQUIRED:Red Hat Enterprise Linux (6/7/8)VMware vCenter (6.5/6.7)RedHat SatelliteRedHat ClusterRedHat VirtualizationBMC Control MDuties and ResponsibilitiesDaily operations and working on Service Requests, Incidents, Alerts, and Change Requests assigned in the ticketing tool, coordinating with other teams for closure of tickets within predefined SLA.Systems administration, maintenance, and monitoring various day-to-day operations.Take part in 24X7 Global Linux Operations including patching of Linux servers.Building/commissioning new servers and configuring them in VMware, RHEV hosts, and on physical boxes according to standard practices defined and server decommissioning.Configure RedHat Cluster for load balancing, including health checks of clusters and resource status.Perform hardening of Linux & Solaris servers before deploying in production.Perform day-to-day technical support - analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems related to servers.Participate in P1/P2 and other critical issues, identifying the cause by managing and troubleshooting.User management: Creation, deletion, and assigning rights/privileges to users as per ticket/approval.Package administration for Linux servers using YUM and RPM utilities synced with RedHat Satellite.Proficient in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of RHEL 5, 6 & 7 (via media, using predefined template deployment through virtualization platforms).BMC Control-M Administration, scheduling, troubleshooting, and configuration, and system changes as per requirement.
