Machine Learning Engineer
Job details
Must have skills:
5+ years of experience
Developing/deploying ML modules
Python - 3+ years of relevant experience (Mandate)
SQL - 3+ years of relevant experience (Mandate)
4+ years of very strong ML project experience
AWS experience
Requirements:
4+ years of industry experience in building machine learning applications.
Experience in building large-scale machine learning infrastructure for online recommendation, ads ranking, personalization, search, NLP, etc.
Experience with Big Data and distributed technologies such as Spark, EMR, Kafka is a plus.
Practical experience in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm designs, run-time analysis, and code quality verification.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python (preferred), Scala, Java, Go.
Experience working hands-on developing and deploying ML solutions with software engineering rigor on cloud-based ecosystems such as AWS.
Preferred to have knowledge of machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.
Prior exposure to internal PayPal micro-services or infrastructure is a plus.
Passion and intellectual curiosity for the FinTech domain.
Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and high-growth dynamic environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to take ownership of meetings with cross-functional team leads on a regular basis.
