What's involved with this role: Interim HR/ OD Advisor - Employee Relations Reference no: Gloucestershire 5259836 Pay Rate: £20.31 per hour PAYE 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 2-3 months City: GLOUCESTER Key responsibilities: Take a professional lead in one or more specific areas of the HR function (e.g. case work, change management, policy, pay, workforce development, management information, recruitment) to ensure the service delivered is appropriate, effective and efficient. Support and work with colleagues in the HR team and the business to enable the achievement of business outcomes. Working closely with the Business Partner or relevant strategic HR leads to scope the needs of the business. Implement creative and innovative HR solutions to improve business outcomes. Establish credibility and value with service/ partner managers. Achieve individual and team efficiencies through improved working practices. Identify where there are gaps and challenges regarding HRprocess/working relationships and identify solutions where appropriate. Undertake and complete identified projects which ensure continuous improvement of either the HR function or the business. Proactively share learning points with HR colleagues. Act as an advocate for organisational aims by owning, supporting and promoting organisational decisions and reflect those decisions in your own practice. Key requirements:
- Successfully upgraded to MCIPD - to have achieved chartered membership of the CIPD. An understanding of the GLPC, Hay Evaluation or other job evaluation process work. Must have experience of restructure projects and project management skills.
- Managing a change project; Supporting Managers through formal action, including direct liaison and consultation with trade union representatives; Providing timely and accurate advice on HR best practice and employment law in all areas of HR; Leading HR project work leading to an improvement in HR practice in the team and / or the business; Policy development; Specifying learning and / or development solutions; Pay and reward incentives including equal pay; Analysis and interpretation of HR management information. In-depth experience in all of the areas of HR as follows, such that the individual can be flexibly assigned and make an immediate impact in any area of HR: Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation. Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite). Proven skills in the planning, developing and evaluating projects, programmes and changes in work practice for continuous improvement for overall service delivery. High level organisational and administrative skills. Ability to work effectively with people at all levels and to build effective relationships.
