Store Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Store Manager to join New World New Lynn This store won the 2021 Foodstuffs North Island (FSNI) New World Store of the Year, and also won the overall 2021 FSNI Store of the Year. Joining our senior leadership team, you will be instrumental in propelling the success of our store and its people. The Role As Store Manager you will plan, lead, communicate, organise, and control the day-to-day running of the store to achieve the highest possible standards and results. • We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Store Manager who wishes to advance their career.
• This is a key strategic position where you will lead the team of 160 people and report directly to the Owner/Operators.
• You will be responsible for assisting and developing and implementing strategies which enhance our busy Store.
• You must be a 'people person' able to plan, direct and work alongside our Managers and general staff to ensure the day-to-day operational targets are met, drive sales, and meet set KPI's.

What we’re looking for:

• Preferably coming from a Management position in a Supermarket and having FMCG background.
• Have a high level of self-motivation, and thrive on achieving targets and goals
• Demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities, being able to get the best out of people
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have experience in setting and achieving company targets
• Being able to help out wherever required in the Store
• Being able to understand, manage, achieve, and dissect financial results
• Have great organizational skills
• Be able to act within and deliver our key store values
• Comprehensive knowledge of SAP financial and inventory systems
