A NonProfit Organization founded on the principle of valuesbased leadership to address the foremost challenges of our times is seeking to hire a Fellows Engagement & Communications Manager . The ideal candidate will understand the mission strategies and goals of the Fellowship s operations providing essential strategic communications support to enhance visibility among the right audiences. Key responsibilities include driving alumni Fellow engagement by creating innovative and inspiring opportunities for Fellows to interact develop and connect both within and outside the Fellowship. The manager will also ensure the cohesion and maintenance of Fellows records while providing Fellow and program management support as needed. Operational Focus/Tasks Alumni Fellow Engagement:

  • Craft a strategy that maps out effective Fellow engagement that keeps the Fellows vibrant connected and productive aligned with the shared vision to create a good society through valuesbased leadership including programs related to the Youth alumni.
  • Create alumni programs by working with the events subcommittee incountry.
  • Manage the calendar for the year and coordinate quarterly Fellow reunions and other ALIWA programs.
  • Create virtual and inperson programs and initiatives to grow the quality and quantity of engagement with our Fellows.
  • Explore create and execute a strategy for free and paytoplay Fellow alumni engagement opportunities that support connectivity while securing sponsorship for such events.
  • Develop impactworthy partnerships with Fellows for key initiatives and thought partnerships on Leadership Ventures etc.
  • Develop a speakers platform reimagining opportunities for Fellows within and outside the network including other leadership fora.
  • Develop strategy and opportunities for Fellows podcasts both from the perspective of podcasters and guests.
  • Develop and champion opportunities and ods to create connectivity within the Fellows body via social media platforms cl and affinity group WhatsApp groups.
Corporate Communications:
  • Draw up an annual communications program for ALIWA with responsibility for both external and internal communications of the Fellowship.
  • Spearhead and implement ALIWA s content creation for all communications platforms and outlets.
  • Work with a 3rd party PR/communications service provider to enhance ALIWA s PR.
  • Curate the stories of ALIWA Fellow impact on the Impact section of the website and other similar channels provided within the network and externally.
  • Lead ALIWA s impact reporting efforts capturing new ventures in the year; the impact of ventures the number of beneficiaries impacted by our programs the number of government policies influenced and any other relevant indices.
Leadership Ventures:
  • Support Fellows ventures with required tools including the membership network tools track highimpact entrepreneurial leadership ventures for all Fellows and recommend them for grants and constantly cultivate similar partnerships to benefit Fellows.
  • Benchmark venturetype requirements in other Fellowships and leadership programs ensuring ALIWA stays current and fresh.
  • Lead ALIWA s impact reporting efforts capturing new ventures in the year the impact of ventures the number of beneficiaries impacted by our programs the number of government policies influenced and any other relevant indices.

Requirements

  • Work Experience: The ideal candidate must have experience in following topical and trending issues proposing and developing programs and events that engage stakeholders particularly top executives within the organization (Fellows). They should have excellent social networking ss content creation experience an understanding of the target audience and strong communication abilities.
  • Years of Experience: 45 years of relevant experience.
  • Education: First degree from a reputable institution.
NonNegotiable Requirements:
  • A portfolio showcasing previous work including social media growth strategies.
  • Ability to create and manage an annual calendar of activities.
  • Proven ability to work without supervision.
  • Industry Preference: NGOs Foundations Corporate Organizations Educational Sector.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle multiple often complex tasks at one time.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Creativity and intellectual curiosity.

KPIs for Fellows Engagement & Communications Manager Corporate Communications:
  • Draw up an annual communications plan to be broken down into measurable monthly communication activities and goals.
  • Achieve timely of agreed PR/communication plan.
  • Monthly external communications with major partners and stakeholders.
  • Position ALIWA as high impact.
Fellows Engagement:
  • Design programs and convenings for ALIWA Fellows in Lagos Abuja Accra or any agreed location in line with the vision positioning and aspiration of ALIWA.
  • Design the annual Fellows engagement calendar and ensure delivery of agreed objectives content and quality.
  • Consistency and success rate in engaging Fellows in gatherings at least a 30% boost in participation annually.
