As the Network Lead for Rail Communication Systems within the rail project, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and management of the network infrastructure encompassing Radio, Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Public Address (PA) systems, Access Management Systems (AMS), and the Communication Backbone Network (CBN). You will ensure the integrity, performance, and security of these systems, guiding the technical team through network planning, implementation, and optimization. Your leadership will be instrumental in advancing the network infrastructure and ensuring seamless integration and operation of communication systems throughout the rail network. Responsibilities: Network Design and Architecture: Lead the design and development of network architectures for Radio, VSS, PA, AMS, and CBN systems, ensuring robust performance, scalability, and security. Implementation and Integration: Oversee the deployment and integration of network components across various systems, coordinating with cross- unctional teams to ensure alignment with project requirements and timelines. Network Migration: Strategize and manage the migration from legacy systems to advanced network solutions, minimizing service disruptions and ensuring seamless transitions. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize network performance, implementing improvements and troubleshooting complex network issues to maintain high availability and efficiency. Security and Compliance: Develop and enforce network security protocols and compliance measures, safeguarding critical communication infrastructure against vulnerabilities and ensuring adherence to industry standards. VSS, PA, and AMS Integration: Provide technical leadership in the integration and maintenance of VSS, PA, and AMS systems, ensuring seamless operation and interoperability within the overall communication network. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, project management, and external vendors to ensure that network strategies and implementations align with broader project objectives. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations, standards, and operational procedures. Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest advancements in network technologies and communication systems, incorporating new solutions and methodologies to enhance system capabilities and performance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in network design, implementation, and management, with a focus on Radio, VSS, PA, AMS, and CBN systems in large-scale infrastructure projects. Demonstrated expertise in managing complex network migrations and system integrations. CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) certification required, with a deep understanding of network protocols, security practices, and advanced network design. Strong leadership and project management skills with a proven track record of successfully leading technical teams through complex projects. In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security practices, and compliance requirements relevant to rail communication systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve network issues effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing stakeholder expectations and leading diverse teams.
