Responsibilities

1. Accountable for the development of the manufacturing facilities at Tanjung Langsat, ensuring that skills and resources meet engineering and production capacity requirements.
2. Work with various global organizations to align and implement manufacturing strategies and goals with business needs.
3. Ensure the successful operation of the manufacturing facility while recruiting, developing, and motivating manufacturing staff.
4. Accountable for the personal safety of all employees, visitors, and contractors associated with the facilities.
5. Conduct systematic reviews of skills gaps and training/development needs of the manufacturing team.
6. Ensure that the manufacturing facilities follow and participate in developing AP policies, procedures, and standards.
7. Deliver quality, schedule, and cost commitments of project performance.
8. Maintain strong working relationships with China Caojing Manufacturing Teams and related company functions.
9. Deliver manufacturing competitiveness including development, deployment, sustainment, and continuous improvement.
10. Work with relevant departments to establish and maintain appropriate relationships with Malaysia ministries and government authorities.
11. Budget setting and control responsibility for both overhead and direct expenditure of the manufacturing facility.
12. Perform all personnel-related management tasks including appraisals, HR planning, training, recruitment, and variable compensation.

Requirements

1. Over 15 years in Manufacturing or related Mechanical field.
2. Well versed in management systems and able to evolve such systems for a changing business.
3. Good working knowledge of businesses, contractual and financial matters.
4. Proven track record in engineering/project/management roles with broadly based engineering knowledge.
5. Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
6. Strong inter-personal skills to deal professionally with all levels of personnel.
7. Experience in cross-cultural aspects of working within a multi-national organization.
8. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; MBA desirable.
