Assistant Manager, Internal Audit

Audit | Professional | Non-Executive | Allianz Malaysia | Full-Time | Permanent Want to be inspired to push the bar higher? This role is responsible for planning, developing, and delivering independent and objective assurance services to the stakeholders on governance, internal controls, and risk management processes. You'll be responsible for:
  1. Leading and coaching/mentoring junior auditors in the execution of audits, ensuring compliance with standard policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and established scope and objectives.
  2. Conducting, reviewing, and recommending improvements to existing internal control systems, as well as monitoring the effects of risk exposures on all significant areas.
  3. Preparing and presenting audit reports that reflect audit results and recommending action plans/constructive solutions on audit findings.
  4. Conducting follow-up audits to monitor management’s response to issues raised and timely preparation of follow-up reports to management.
  5. Assisting in the preparation of various assurance reports to the Audit Committee/Regional/Group Audit Office and participating in projects in an advisory capacity.
Important to your success:
  1. Degree in Accounting or any finance-related discipline.
  2. Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor and related disciplines is highly preferred.
  3. Proficient in principles and practices of accounting and audit standards, methodologies, and regulatory requirements, as well as knowledge in techniques related to the financial services industry.
  4. Minimum 5 years of working experience in the insurance industry with good people management skills.
  5. Strong analytical skills and results-oriented with effective report writing skills; must be prepared to travel.
