Job Description You will be part of the mechanical team in Engineering, reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager. You will use a 3D CAD tool to design plastic and metal parts for electronic boxes. You will conduct rapid prototyping and rapid testing to validate design requirements. You will perform design troubleshooting and design solution implementations. You will support parts fabrication, product assembly, and production processes. You will work on technical drawings, design reports, test plans, and technical documentation. You will collaborate with the Quality team to ensure product quality and reliability. Your Responsibilities: Ability to evaluate stress and strain for plastic and metal designs. Experience in and understanding of various 3D printing technologies and other rapid prototyping techniques. Design mechanical tests for design verifications. Understanding of plastic molding and metal fabrication processes. Ability to design parts that facilitate product assembly and production processes. Understand the design of electromechanical connectors. Experience providing design solutions to prevent product damage from thermal and mechanical shock and vibration. The Essentials - You Will Have: Degree/Master in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering. Minimum 3 or more years of experience in mechanical design of plastic and metal parts for electronic boxes in the electronic product industry. The Preferred - You Might Also Have: Ability to conduct computer modeling and simulation using Ansys during product design. Ability to instrument products and conduct shock and vibration tests on a shaker table. Skills to perform troubleshooting and solutioning.
