Job description: The Assistant Director, Preventive Health, is responsible for the strategic planning, operation management, business development and financial management of the Preventive Health Centre(s) [Hub and Spokes]. Taking a life course approach to preventive health, develop, market and provide preventive health services to residents of all ages in NHG region through partnerships. Provide preventive health services in alignment with national strategies such as Healthier SG, Age Well SG and GrowWell SG. The scope shall include but not limited to supporting the Director of Preventive Health and Clinical Director of Preventive Health Centre to drive the development of department/division strategies, developing plans and facilitating discussion to empower Preventive Health Department to implement the plans in line with care and finance transformation, resource acquisitions, internal/external stakeholder management as well as overseeing the execution with accountability for the approved milestones/budgets/timelines and in compliance with directions given by NHG leadership. Major Duties & Responsibilities To work with the Director of Preventive Health, to provide leadership and direction for teams who support the Preventive Health Centre and Preventive Health Operations. To be responsible for strategic planning, operation management, business development, marketing and financial management of NHG Preventive Health Centre(s) To oversee the planning and operations of level 1 and 2 Functional Screening (Project Silver Screen), and to front interactions with Ministry of Health To partner with School and Workplace Health Department to offer preventive health services to workplaces and schools To develop a strong relationship with key internal & external stakeholders to engender place-based care and relationship-based preventive care of Central and North residents. To translate approved Preventive Health strategies into implementation To build trust, deepen relationships and manage stakeholders to smoothly fulfil the aforesaid areas of responsibilities. To oversee administrative, reporting, budgeting, management approvals, presentations, procurement, agreements and other related works under Preventive Health department. To lead and undertake any other specific projects/tasks as assigned. Conducts all activities with the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, supporting NHG's corporate integrity efforts and to uphold NHG's corporate reputation by acting in an ethical and appropriate manner, reporting known or suspected violations of applicable rules, and cooperating fully with all organizational investigations and proceedings. Builds and maintains harmonious working relationships and good teamwork among colleagues and external stakeholders. Oversee, supervise and appraise the performance of any subordinates and develop subordinates in the course of work. Job requirements Education/Training/Experience Good bachelor's degree in any discipline. Preferably with 3-5 years of relevant working experience in healthcare sector Possess strong administrative, business development, budget management and project coordination skills. Strong written, analytical and communication skills. Demonstrates systems thinking, teamwork, leadership, planning with translation to operations and successfully implemented projects in a dynamic environment. Experience in healthcare management especially in operations, finance and strategic planning is preferred. Good project management skills. Good interpersonal & communications skills and ability to manage stakeholders from diverse backgrounds at various levels of seniority. Macro in perspectives and meticulous in implementation. Good analytical, planning, risk mitigation, perception management & agile project implementation skills. Good system-thinker with problem-solving skills in a dynamic and unstructured work environment. Strong team player with the ability to build and maintain harmonious working relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
