Job Title: Pre-Opening Purchasing Manager Salary: 25,000 AED + Benefits (Air Ticket, Insurance, Bonus) Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 7+ years in luxury hospitality or high-end retail sectors, specializing in F&B equipment and luxurious china About the Company: A prestigious luxury hotel, soon to open in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Pre-Opening Purchasing Manager. The hotel is dedicated to providing the finest guest experiences, focusing on exceptional quality and service. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of luxury china and F&B equipment, along with a proven track record in high-end hospitality procurement. Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Opening Procurement and Budget Management: Leading the procurement process for luxury china, F&B equipment, and all essential items required for the pre-opening phase.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Identifying and negotiating with high-end suppliers to ensure the best quality, pricing, and timely delivery of goods.
  • Budget Management: Overseeing the purchasing budget, ensuring that all purchases align with financial guidelines and timelines.
  • Inventory Planning: Setting up initial inventory levels, ensuring the smooth transition from procurement to stock receipt.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring that all purchased items meet the hotel's luxury standards, performing quality checks, and handling any discrepancies.
  • Market Research: Continuously researching market trends and new luxury items to ensure the hotel is stocked with the latest and most exclusive items.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Evaluating and selecting suppliers that meet the hotel's needs for quality, price, and reliability.
  • Contract Negotiation: Leading negotiations on contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure favorable terms for the hotel.
  • Logistics Coordination: Managing the logistics and timely delivery of goods, ensuring the pre-opening timeline is adhered to without delays.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Working closely with the GM, Executive Chef, F&B Director, and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and align procurement strategies with operational requirements.
  • Menu and Event Coordination: Ensuring that the china and equipment required for restaurant menus, banquets, and events are available and in optimal condition.
  • Pre-Opening Strategy: Supporting the pre-opening team to ensure that all purchasing and inventory tasks are completed on time and to specification.
  • Onboarding and Training: Coordinating the training of team members on proper handling and usage of luxury china and F&B equipment.
  • Reporting: Preparing regular reports for the GM and senior management on purchasing status, deliveries, and budget adherence.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Luxury F&B Expertise: In-depth knowledge of luxury china, tableware, and high-end F&B equipment.
  • Experience: 7+ years of purchasing experience in a luxury hospitality environment or similar high-end setting, with a focus on F&B products and equipment.
  • Supplier Relationships: Established connections with top-tier suppliers of luxury china and F&B equipment.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all products meet the hotel's high standards.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, pre-opening environment.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English, with additional language skills considered a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills to interact with various internal and external stakeholders.
