Scope Ensure compliance with Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Conservation and Security regulations, as outlined in the company's regulations and procedures. Carry out analysis of operational costs, reliability and availability of processes and quality systems. Ensure satisfactory staff performance, timely delivery of products, and the meeting of organizational and business objectives. Program, coordinate, evaluate and control the implementation of operational activities in the respective area in accordance with the directions of the Operations Management. Job Responsibilities

  • Adherence to company HSSE policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for performing all tasks assigned in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the established operating procedures and written or oral instructions from the Operation Manager.
  • Prepare area operational budget in accordance with directions received from the Operation Manager.
  • Ensure that the Operations Engineer participates in budget discussions with a special focus on chemicals, utilities consumption and material expenditure.
  • Listen to employee complaints and respond; motivate them to come up with new suggestions and ideas.
  • Encourage all subordinates to think safety, submit ideas for improving safety and report incidents and unsafe conditions/acts.
  • Need to have the necessary skills for conducting risk assessments and participate in unusual operational or maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all hazards are identified and corresponding risks are assessed and eliminated or prevented.
  • Attend incident investigation committee and direct management to define and eliminate the root cause.
  • Investigate all incidents/accidents in the area supervised, and appoint the Area Business Team to analyze these incidents and propose/follow up with preventive and corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in Refinery Management/Operations, of which at least Five (5) years in a Managerial position.
