Assistant Manager, School of Nursing and MidwiferyEntity School of Nursing and Midwifery LocationIntroduction Established in 1980, Aga Khan University's School of Nursing and Midwifery (AKU-SONAM) was the first academic unit of the University to be established. AKU-SONAM motivates young men and women from all over Pakistan and the developing countries to choose nursing as a career in order to strengthen the delivery of health care services. Responsibilities Reporting to the Associate Dean, Outreach and Policy Unit, you will be responsible for strengthening the Alumni network in School of Nursing and Midwifery through the development of campaigns and outreach materials; identification and liaise with alumni globally; and for all events related to Alumni of SONAM Specifically, you will be responsible to: maintain exisiting social media platforms to keep up to date and track trends related to SONAM and Alumni Affairs maintain Dean's Communications with prospective alumni donors and Alumni development of communications tools (Alumni Map and others) to help communicate impact of SONAM Alumni in partnership with SONAM Communications team ensure active and streamlined communications with all alumni support development of proposals and newsletterlead the planning, coordination, and programme development for all virtual and in person events related to Alumni Affairs, in partnership with respective central offices plan, organize, and execute alumni events, reunions, and networking sessions and follow up on post-eventsupdate and maintain the alumni database, ensuring accurate and current contact informationgenerate reports and insights from alumni data to assist in strategic planningresearch/landscaping of SONAM Alumni including those who could be potential donors - this includes both a deep dive into internal databases, as well as a national/global level landsc development of a quarterly report on progress, risks, and the way forwardassist the team with day to day management of the associations; events, meetings, logistics, fundraising etc. facilitate opportunities for alumni to contribute their skills and expertise to benefit the institution through TKNprovide assistance to alumni seeking career advice, mentorship, or networking opportunitiescollaborate with career services to connect alumni with current students for mentorship programs.Requirements You should have: A Masters's degree from a well-reputed local or international university2-3 years of related work experience at a reputable organization in a role that requires strong communication skills. experience in the higher education or development sector with direct experience in advancement/alumni relations is preferredoutstanding interpersonal, presentation, and communications skills reqired, characterized by the ability to listen, to speak, and to write well, with a strong commitment to customer serviceexcellent written and verbal communication skills in Englishability to self-motivate and work well with and through others requiredexcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholdersstrong data and analytics skills preferred.To ApplyInterested candidates should submit their detailed CV and cover letter to human.resources@aku.edu .
