Location: Kuwait City – Kuwait – GCC travel

MRG Global is undertaking a confidential search for a Business Development Director for a leading multidisciplinary privately owned consultancy with a strong presence in the Middle East.

Responsibilities:

Director, Business Development

Reporting to the CEO

 

Strategic Planning and Market Analysis

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough research to understand market trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape in the Middle East.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth targets.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify new business opportunities, including potential markets, clients, and partnerships.

 

Client Relationship Management

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and approach potential clients to generate new business leads.
  • Client Retention: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyse client feedback to improve service offerings and customer satisfaction.

Proposal and Contract Management

  • Proposal Development: Oversee the preparation of proposals, presentations, and bids for new projects.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring favourable terms and compliance with company policies.
  • Bid Management: Manage the bid process from inception to submission, ensuring all deadlines and client requirements are met.

Project Oversight and Coordination

  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with internal teams to allocate resources effectively for project execution.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor project performance, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.

Networking and Public Relations

  • Networking: Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, including clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Industry Events: Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote services and capabilities.
  • Brand Promotion: Enhance the company’s brand presence in the market through various promotional activities and marketing initiatives.

Financial and Administrative Duties

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the business development budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on business development activities, progress, and performance metrics for senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all business development activities comply with local laws, regulations, and company policies.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the business development team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members to support their professional growth.

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for Director Business Development role possesses the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 15 – 20 years
  • Large-scale project execution
  • Preferably Middle East project experience, this role would suit someone who has previously worked in the Middle East and is looking to return.
