Barista/Bartender
Job details
Roccella is an established all day Italian eatery that is family owned and operated, providing southern Italian comfort food. Our flagship store in East Melbourne has been open since 2020 and has thrived more with each year. As we prepare to open our second restaurant in Bundoora, we’re looking to expand our team of skilled and enthusiastic baristas and bartenders. Our goal is to build a cohesive and supportive work environment where both our staff and customers feel valued. While we’ve streamlined the craft of coffee preparation with advanced tools like automatic dosing grinders, high-extraction baskets, and automated milk frothers, we remain committed to delivering exceptional quality and service. We take pride in providing a top-tier customer experience, and we’re looking for individuals who share that dedication. Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of milk frothing, pouring, latte art, and espresso extraction.
- Display proficiency in dialing in and fine-tuning espresso machines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Provide excellent customer service, engaging with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Possess strong knowledge of cocktail preparation and bartending techniques.
- Have experience in creating a variety of classic and modern cocktails (or a strong interest in learning and developing bartending skills).
- Collaborate with the bar team to maintain a smooth and efficient service.
- Are quick learners with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Are organized, with strong attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Are friendly, personable, and able to maintain a positive, energetic attitude while interacting with customers.
- Can handle additional tasks such as managing takeaway orders, answering phone inquiries, and maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar.
