Your role

Job purpose

• Assist the Analytics Function Head on modelling tasks
• Work on data pre-processing and preparing it for modelling
• Build predictive models & recommendation engines using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to aid business processes, increase efficiency and effectiveness in their outcomes

Job outline Assist the Analytics Function Head on:

• Collaborating with Business and IT teams for understanding and collecting data.
• Apply data preparation techniques for ML like filtering, data cleaning, missing value imputation, feature extraction, feature engineering, feature selection, dimensionality reduction, feature scaling, variable transformation etc
• Apply ML techniques like ensemble modelling algorithms like bagging (Random Forest), boosting(GBM, LGBM, XGBoost, CatBoost), and other state-of-the-art ML Algorithms.
• Apply modelling concepts like hyperparameter optimization, feature selection, stacking, blending, K-fold cross-validation, bias & variance, overfitting etc
• Perform custom analytics for providing actionable insights to the business on ad-hoc assignments

About you

Job interface/relationships

• Knowledge/education:
  • BE /B. Tech – Any Stream. IIT/NIT Graduates will be preferred
• Skills:
  • Familiarity with ML techniques as stated in the job outline
  • Should have strong expertise in Python & Excel.
  • Familiarity with SQL is preferred.
• Work experience:
  • Can be a fresher or have 0-1 year of solving business problems through Data Analytics, Data Science and Modelling. Kaggle experience is preferred.

• Work location:
  • Work location is the ISB Hyderabad office. Remote work is not allowed for this position
• Duration:
  • Duration will be for 3 months and can be extended based on the requirements at that stage

Any other additional input Will not be considered for selection:

• Familiarity with deep learning algorithms for image processing & classification
