About the role: We're keen to focus on your skills and experience in research and analysis, problem solving, stakeholder engagement and a proven ability to deliver on projects and complex land management issues. You will oversee project plans for managing risk and compliance activities related to state-managed land, with a focus on safety and its natural and cultural heritage. Your experience and knowledge will be used to ensure the effective delivery of projects while managing complex issues. In this role you will:
- Assist DNRMMRRD in responding to State-managed land matters.
- Conduct complex research and analysis on sustainable management of natural and cultural values of State land.
- Review project plans and support contractors and staff in developing risk management and compliance activities.
- Provide support and advice on scheduling and implementing risk management for DNRMMRRD-managed State land.
- Prepare complex documents and reports, including briefs, procedures, and project plans related to State land.
- Implement and evaluate operational activities related to fire, pests, natural hazards, compliance, and community activities, while identifying opportunities for improvements.
- Ability to investigate and recommend options to address complex issues relating to State managed land.
- Experience in spatial and reporting system development, improvement and maintenance.
- Experience in procurement/management of projects to deliver desired outcomes within set timeframes and budget.
- Current C class driver's licence mandatory.
- Travel away from the centre and remote area may be required. Possible travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation.
