Function
Objective
The objectives of better service through improved inventory control to labs; reduction in inventories to reduce size of investment and reducing lab expense. To ensure availability of needed inventory for uninterrupted day to day lab work and provide a scientific basis for planning of inventory needs. To maintain necessary records for protecting against thefts, wastes leakages of inventories and to decide timely replenishment of stocks.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the central research store which contains laboratory consumables, supplies, chemicals, media and kits.
- Review average monthly usage patterns of all items and maintain constant supplies. Maintain database of the patterns and materials.
- Receive, examine chemical and consumables delivered and verify completeness of orders and reconcile against Purchase orders. Load and unload inventory onto or from pallets, bins, racks and shelving.
- Manage the marking or tagging of items received for identification purposes to stock inventory.
- Handling the Indent and Issue in an appropriate manner.
- Prepare, schedule and conduct regular inventory analysis and inventory physical counts.
- Ensure that MSDS records are kept current and available.
- Manage the Purchase Requisitions (PR) in a timely manner by working with Procurement and Principal investigators (PI).
- Receive purchase requisition in Ax dynamics check if items are available in stock or to approve to procurement department for purchase.
- Receiving invoices from the procurement department and accepting into the AX dynamics system after all the delivery is completed with PI approval.
- Discussing and sharing information with the PI’s on the PO’s and items. With assure from the PI’s for the expiry dates of the items.
- Rectify or reject item if not as per the PO/without confirmation from PI. Monthly report on the PR’s processed and Bulk items in stock.
- Managing Medical store, stationery and pantry when required.
- Creating item codes in Ax dynamics for research, medical and biomedical department.

- Basic Math, tabulation and reconciliation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the Head, Tissue Bank Core Facility
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Computer Competency including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Inventory Management system
- Chemical Handling Safety
- Expert in making item codes in Ax dynamics and process of the ERP solution
