Job Summary: The Senior Procurement Engineer develops and executes procurement strategies to support construction projects. This role involves managing procurement schedules, evaluating technical specifications, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.Key Responsibilities:Strategy & Planning: Create and implement procurement strategies aligned with project needs.Technical Evaluation: Analyze technical specifications and conduct feasibility studies.Supplier Management: Identify and manage suppliers, ensuring quality and timely delivery.Collaboration: Work with engineering teams and mentor junior staff.Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field must be attested from MOFA or equivalency.Experience: Extensive experience in technical procurement in construction, including leadership roles.Skills: Strong knowledge of construction materials, technical specs, and supplier management. Leadership and communication skills. Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.Additional Responsibilities:Develop and implement technical procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and company objectives.Analyze project specifications, technical drawings, and scopes of work to determine procurement needs.Plan and manage procurement schedules to ensure timely acquisition of materials and equipment.Evaluate and interpret technical specifications and requirements for construction materials and equipment.Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies to ensure compatibility with project needs.Collaborate with engineering teams to understand and incorporate technical requirements into procurement processes.Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on technical capabilities, quality, and performance.Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and timely delivery of materials and equipment.Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or technical support.
