Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet customers, assist with inquiries, and provide a friendly shopping experience.
Transaction Processing: Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
Payment Handling: Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring accuracy and security.
Product Scanning: Scan items for purchase, ensuring correct pricing and handling of discounts or promotions.
Receipt Management: Issue receipts and provide change to customers as needed.
Inventory Support: Assist with restocking shelves and maintaining the organization of the sales floor.
Problem Resolution: Handle customer complaints or issues effectively and professionally.
Compliance: Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus, but not always required.
Skills:
Strong numerical and basic math skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and accuracy
