Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic vision to streamline supply chain operations across all business units. This senior leadership role will involve end-to-end management of sourcing, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory control, contributing significantly to top-line growth, bottom-line profitability, and capital efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of the supply chain strategy that supports the company's growth objectives, focusing on revenue generation, cost reduction, and improving operational efficiency.
Identify cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain while ensuring value-added services for customers.
Enhance capital efficiency by optimizing working capital management, inventory turnover, and supplier financing mechanisms.
Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for engineering products, packaging materials, heavy machinery, and other categories across the group.
Maintain supplier databases, optimize payment terms, and negotiate competitive pricing to drive savings.
Customs Clearance and global freight: Manage customs clearance and global freight logistics for the importation of heavy machinery and engineering products. Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, leveraging knowledge of customs tariffs, duty benefits, and trade agreements.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of local and international customs tariffs, regulatory requirements, and duty structures. Expertly navigate Free Trade Agreements (FTA) to minimize customs duties and leverage regional trade benefits.
Oversee inventory management and warehousing operations, ensuring optimal stock levels, reducing holding costs, and improving inventory turnover.
Provide strong leadership and direction to the supply chain team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications and experience required:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred).
15+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in a diversified industrial group.
Proven track record of driving top-line and bottom-line improvements through effective supply chain management.
Strong expertise in sourcing, procurement, logistics, customs regulations, and global freight.
In-depth knowledge of customs tariffs, duty benefits, Free Trade Agreements (FTA), Export Processing Zones (EPZs), and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
