Senior Electrical Engineer (4 month contract, site based) - KACWCBuro Happold- الدمام, السعوديةPosted In: 20/7/2013This position requires someone with a strong background in building services / MEP design consultancy and technical site supervision. This would be for a 4 month contract, with the potential to transfer into a permanent role subject to business needs in KSA and the wider Middle East region.The scheme for the King Abdul Aziz Centre for World Culture consists of a number of interconnecting museum spaces together with library, full auditorium and large gathering spaces. These are clustered together in a series of ‘pebbles’ clad in a stainless steel tubular facade.It is a ‘gift to the nation’ from Aramco and will chart the development of the nation while at the same time describing the development of Saudi Aramco.The project budget is rumoured to be US$1bn for a 75,000m2 centre and so the finishes, technology and special effects will be state of the art.From a Buro Happold perspective, this is a project of two parts:Design Phase from 2007 – 2010 as a sub-consultant to Snohetta who are directly appointed to Saudi Aramco.Technical Support on site phase commenced February 2011 with a direct contract to Saudi Aramco.Key Responsibilities:Carry out regular site inspections.Review and monitor Contractor’s procedures/ practices for health and safety.Review and monitor contractor’s shop drawings, materials and method statements.Record changes on site and Review as-built drawings/ submissions.Monitor contractor’s progress on site.Audit Inspectors work as part of Site QA procedures.Undertake detailed engineering design.Prepare technical schedules.Represent BH at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers.Ensure service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met.Ensure senior staff are kept informed.Job RequirementsExperienceAnyCareer Levelخبرة فوق متوسطةJob Typeكل الوقتVacancies2 Open PositionsSalaryNegotiableGenderAnyDegree Levelبكالوريوس / ليسانسFaculty / InstituteAnyMajorهندسة كهربائيةAgeAnyNationalityAnyResidence LocationAnyLanguagesالإنجليزية - جيد جداOwn a CarAnyHave Driving LicenseAnyQualifications:Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or an equivalent degree.Significant work experience in a design consultancy on large complex international projects.Chartered or Professional Engineer status with a relevant institution, e.g. CIBSE or IET.About The CompanyBuro Happold aims to produce high quality engineering design in concept, in detail and in execution, on time, to programme and delivering excellent value for money.Our distinctive culture and ethos is still based on the same principles of care, value and elegance that were established when the practice was founded.Our engineering approach is holistic, combining different disciplines in one, integrated team.
