Roles and responsibilitiesThe job holder isresponsible to the CDO Design Services Manager, you will beundertaking a Typhoon support/liaison role within the TSC at KFdAB,Taif, Saudi ArabiaThe role requires the jobholder to lead a small team of technical specialist providing onhand design support (general systems and propulsion design advice)to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) forward, depth and SMUmaintenance organisation by responding to and approving GeneralSystem and Propulsion Technical Queries and offering DesignAuthority advice to the RSAF utilising the Team Centre Queryresolution process.Providing Support to theRSAF in generating National Instructions from Industry providedapproved data.The role requires the jobholder to carry out day to day liaison between the UK based'In Service Support Team (ISST), Typhoon Design SupportTeam and the RSAF ensuring that service level agreements are metfor Technical Queries and discrete tasking such as Logistic tasksand Repair instructions.JobAccountabilitiesDay to Day management of a small teamof Technical Specialists.Answering querieswith specialist knowledge of appropriate aircraft systems, usingapproved data within the TSC, sourced from Technical Publications,TSC documentation or own system domainknowledgeProvide main point of contact withindustry wrt General Systems andPropulsion.Liaising with query originator tofully understand query and populate Teamcentre systemaccordinglyProviding initial analysis ofqueries to determine and agree acceptance, prioritisation and bestroute to providing an answer, liaising with appropriatestakeholders including the RSAF, TTSS andFJSHConfirming acceptance/rejection ofqueries, liaising with appropriate stakeholders, providingjustification as appropriateConfirming andagreeing prioritisation of queries, liaising with appropriateStakeholdersEnsuring all queries, responses,status prioritisation is recorded on the Teamcentresystem.Interfacing with European Industry viathe FJSH in UK, to obtain a response asappropriateProviding input to the statusreporting process.Analysis of TechnicalSupport Specialist Reports in order to identify'bottlenecks' in the system and areas whereimprovements can be made. Corrective actions should then besuggested.Provide specialist support to the3rd/10th/80th Squadron aircrew in terms of rapid query answering,interpretation of the Typhoon Release to Service , trials planningand System knowledge transfer.AssistingMaintenance and Line Technical Support staff in the resolution ofon-aircraft problemsInterfacing with theTyphoon Design Support Team UK on all technical matters to preventduplication and ensure common approach to problems. Ensure alsoshared information.Assist in analysis ofTechnical Specialist Reports and data provided by In-Service DataManagement Team in order to identify trends in maintenance andoperational problem areas on Typhoon to identify where improvementscan be made.Providing structured On-the-Jobtraining for Saudi National Technical Specialist Staff, in form oftraining, coaching, work experience and mentoring asappropriate.Providing Support to the RSAF ingenerating National Instructions from Industry provided approveddata.Support to the production of the monthlyreports and KPI claims. Desired candidate profile RECRUITMENTSPECIFICATIONEssentialMust be educated to Degree/HND levelin a relevant engineering discipline or have relevant experiencesupported by formal, recorded workplace applied relatedtraining.Experience of aircraft general/flightsystems and propulsion gained in an aerospace design or designsupport related environment.Hold or be capableof holding a design engineeringsignature.Experience of managing a team oftechnical specialists.Computer literate with asound understanding of the Microsoft Officesuite.Capable of working independently, or aspart of a team, under extreme pressure and to tight operationaltimescales.Understanding of Engineering,Design, Airworthiness, Safety and Qualitystandards.Knowledge of export controlrequirements (ITAR/USEC)
