This is what #LifeAtBNY is all about.We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Data Scientist to join our AI Hub Engineering team. This role is located in Dublin, Ireland and will be working in a hybrid capacity (3 days a week in the office).In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:Develop AI/ML and Generative AI / LLM models to address challenging and impactful business problems for BNY, from proof of concepts to production-level deliverables, and produce thorough model evaluation and documentation to support decision-making and assess model risk.Define, create and maintain actionable insights using data science and statistical analysis. Prepare assessments to provide business decision-supporting facts.Thoroughly evaluate models and produce supporting documentation, ensuring correct business decision-supporting analysis results.Develop innovative solutions and produce patent disclosures to demonstrate RD&I.Collaborate with colleagues and subject matter experts (SME) to obtain data and domain knowledge needed to conduct advanced reviews.Continuously support and develop skills across AI/ML and GenAI, increasing business acumen.Stay highly up to date with the latest advances in AI/GenAI, technology innovations, and banking industry trends. Share findings with the team, recommend areas for improvement, and promote adoption of AI tools and platforms.Be proactive and autonomous in solving problems, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and urgency.To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:PhD degree in STEM fields, or equivalent work experience, with experience preferred in related fields.Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.Deep understanding of applied data science, ML, NLP (e.g., feature engineering, supervised/unsupervised learning, predictive analytics, clustering, anomaly detection, sentiment analysis, entity recognition), and GenAI/LLM.Strong and proven hands-on experience implementing solutions (e.g., Python, scikit-learn, pandas, keras, TensorFlow/PyTorch, GPT models).Strong communication skills (presenting, writing) and a highly collaborative mindset.Innovative mindset and creative thinking demonstrated by publications and patents.Our Benefits and Rewards:BNY offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence and our pay-for-performance philosophy.
