Software Engineering Team Lead Lorien are working with an organisation as they embark on a digital transformation to deliver exceptional services to their clients and suppliers. The Role You will play a pivotal role in shaping their product roadmap by leading the development of new features and infrastructure. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring code quality, and optimising cloud-native architecture. Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the product and engineering teams to define, design, and develop new product features and infrastructure.
- Champion and implement best practices for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
- Manage and optimise our AWS environment, adhering to the Well Architected Framework principles for operational excellence and security.
- Make critical architectural decisions to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Build, maintain, and enhance our CI/CD pipeline to achieve efficient and reliable code delivery.
- Mentor and guide the development team in technical best practices and problem-solving.
- Proven track record of building and supporting production-grade web applications on AWS.
- Extensive experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and AWS.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring framework.
- Expertise in infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- In-depth knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (NewRelic/DataDog).
- Deep understanding of DevOps culture, processes, and tools.
- Experience with Kafka, GraphQL, REST, SOAP, and API Gateway.
- Proven ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
- Experience with Node.js and React.
- up to £90,000 salary with 10% bonus
