Job Summary If you are an Application Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! The Application Engineer takes an active role in bid management, including selection of valve, sizing of actuator and pricing of all Isolation valve products and field equipment based on the customer requirement. The main task of the role is to act as a technical expert during the quotation phase to support internal and nominated external customer by offering the best product/resolution suitable for the given application, working in liaison with Sales team, Business development managers, factory PSQ’s and Inside sales team in respective countries. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Work closely with internal and external customer to understand customer requirements and propose the best possible resolution for the given application-based project.
- On time submission of quality offer in coordination with BDM’s, internal & external sales team, Legal team, PMO and factory PSQ’s.
- Provide Pre-sales and technical support to all customers, business partners and distributers.
- Provide technical support and attend the pre and post order technical meeting with sales, PMO, Product management team, BDM's (Wherever applicable).
- Ensure CRM (Customer Relationship Management) data are updated regularly.
- Ensure project requirements are reviewed accurately and seek clarifications and approvals from respective collaborators before submitting the offer to customer.
- Ensure on time submission of offer, along with DOA (Delegation of Authority) process compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to establish priorities and multitask.
- Demonstrated teamwork or ability to work in a team environment.
- Should be detailed and an assertive character. Must be able to manage complex situations under pressure.
