We are seeking an experienced Film & TV Production Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and solutions for production environments, ensuring smooth operation of production technologies. This role demands expertise in server and storage administration, IP networking, and various production technologies and workflows. Production Support Engineers are onsite engineers based in and around London, predominantly working "in the field" in film studio offices and facilities, and occasionally in client offices. This role requires 90% traveling, so resource should have a valid UK driver’s license and car. Key Responsibilities: Server and Storage Administration:

  • Manage and maintain servers and storage systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Perform regular backups and recovery operations.
IP Networking:
  • Configure and manage IP networks to support production needs.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and ensure optimal performance.
Production Technology Support:
  • Provide technical support for Aspera, Teradek, and Qtake systems.
  • Assist in the setup and operation of VFX workflows and related technologies.
Zoom Administration:
  • Manage Zoom accounts and provide support for video conferencing needs during production.
  • Ensure secure and efficient operation of Zoom for remote collaboration.
Film & TV Production Technologies:
  • Implement and support various production technologies to enhance workflows.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in film and TV production tools.
Internet on Location:
  • Set up and maintain internet connectivity at production locations.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure seamless communication.
Database Management:
  • Manage Filemaker Pro databases used in production.
  • Ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
System Configuration and Support:
  • Provide support for iOS devices and Mac OS X systems.
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Generate reports on system performance and support activities.
Collaboration and Training:
  • Work closely with production teams to understand technical requirements.
  • Provide training and support to crew members on production technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of server and storage administration.
  • Proficiency in IP networking and related protocols.
  • Experience with Aspera, Teradek, Qtake, and VFX workflows.
  • Expertise in Zoom administration and remote collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with various film and TV production technologies.
  • Ability to manage internet connectivity on location.
  • Proficiency with Filemaker Pro databases.
  • Strong understanding of iOS devices and Mac OS X systems.

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Communication Skills:
