Job Overview:
We are seeking an organized and reliable Accounting Assistant with at least 6 months of experience to support our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience with general accounting tasks, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), and possess good communication skills. This role provides an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the accounting field.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP) Support:
Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate payment details.
Assist in managing vendor relationships and resolve billing discrepancies.
Maintain accurate AP records and assist in reconciling accounts.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Support:
Process incoming payments and apply them to customer accounts.
Prepare and send invoices to clients, following up on overdue payments.
Reconcile AR accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
General Accounting Assistance:
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain accurate and organized accounting files and records.
Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with audit preparations.
Communication & Coordination:
Respond to inquiries related to AP and AR and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience:
At least 6 months of experience in an accounting or finance role, with exposure to AP and AR processes. Skills:
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address accounting issues effectively.
