Duties & Responsibilities The Finance Manager assumes the responsibility for the financial operations within the entity of the business unit. The role necessitates a comprehensive comprehension of all facets pertaining to expenditure, income, tax and employee compensation. furthermore, the Finance Manager will supervise and contribute to the monthly reconciliation of accounts and the annual audit process. Collaboration with other departments to address finance related enquiries is also a fundamental aspect of this role. The Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in formulating and executing financial strategies conducive to the company''s expansion and financial viability. Ensure the financial stability and integrity of the organization. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of daily, monthly, and annual business expenditures, providing guidance and support to supervisors and management as needed. Execute ad hoc instructions from supervisors promptly and efficiently. Generate and distribute daily and monthly reports detailing expenditure, income, and fund movements across all company accounts. Conduct regular reviews of expenditure and actively identify opportunities for cost reduction. Prepare accurate monthly and annual budget forecasts aligned with superiors targets, validating projections through consultation with superiors and fellow management. Proactively seek clarification and information from superiors and management regarding expenditure to ensure the accuracy of daily reports. Cultivate strong relationships with the companys banking partners and promptly address any requests from senior management concerning banking, cards, or access to banking systems. Maintain accessibility and responsiveness across all communication channels, including telephone, email, Teams, and WhatsApp, during agreed-upon working hours, particularly when working remotely. Provide timely responses to queries from management and other departments within established timeframes during working hours. (1 2 hours) Assist the outsourced finance function with inquiries related to invoices, payments, payroll, or financial transactions within the business. Deliver comprehensive training and guidance to new employees joining the finance department. Ensure accurate processing and distribution of approved payments and employee salaries. Demonstrate proactive problem-solving abilities and a commitment to exceeding expectations. Exhibit effective time management skills and uphold professional etiquette and attitude when interacting with clients. Foster productive and collaborative information-sharing within the team, contributing to a supportive work environment. Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills when engaging with team members. Maintain professionalism in written communication, ensuring clarity, politeness, and accuracy in all internal and external correspondence. Desired Experience & Qualification Must be a Chartered Accountant or SAIPA accredited Must have at least 7 years experience in a Finance Manager role Experience working in the Financial sector is a huge advantage Ideally based in the Western Cape
