We are seeking a talented individual to join our investment team at [Marsh McLennan]. This role will be based in Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Lead Specialist - Investments Investment Consulting – Alternative Reporting (Fund Admin) The role will be responsible for working within the Client Team, specifically within the Alternative investment function to deliver an excellent and consistent experience for all our clients through our channels of communication. This role will support administration of funds managed by Mercer for the Alternative investments consisting of Private Equity and Real Assets. Work involves reviewing transactions and financials for these funds, maintaining log of cash activities, logging marketing requests, and also working on tax documents. The incumbent in this role should have an understanding of fund accounting and also the investment strategies and the importance of their role in achieving the company targets and client satisfaction scores We will count on you for: Assist Alternative Funds Operations team with cash accounts reconciliations for various private equity fund of funds and hedge fund of funds Assist Alternative Funds Operations team with assessing LOC needs and updating LOC activity in Investran, a portfolio management system. Reconcile cash activities and accounting records of various alternative funds. Update Investran with investors and investments activities Maintain tax and audit trackers Support Alternative Funds Operations team with audits and tax filings for various alternative funds Assist Alternative Funds Operations team with compiling materials for marketing requests Assist with invoice payment process for various alternative funds Assist in the accounting oversight function for various investment accounts, liaising with clients, consultants, and portfolio managers regarding onboarding activities, and managing client cash flow activities, including private equity capital calls/distributions, and executing mutual fund trades Serve as the liaison between clients and custodians to help anticipate and analyze ongoing cash needs for monthly, quarterly, or annual draws for investors Communicate with investment managers and custodians to facilitate client investment activities, including fielding questions regarding custodians and processes Prepare the Private Equity and Real Assets Performance reports and analyse the accuracy of results. Manage relationship with onshore Business Process Owners and senior management What you need to have:

  • 5+ Years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Economics, Management, or a similar field.
  • Exposure to Global Capital Markets and working knowledge of Private Equity world.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
  • Able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Good time management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task
  • Overall good technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to understand the link between data, client needs and its application to the “bigger picture”
