Director of Analytics | Scotland | £110k - £130k Base Salary + bonus and benefits | (Hybrid - with regular business travel) A leading bank have embarked on a mission of positive change and transformation to modernise everything data, analytics and AI related across the organisation. The core focus is about adding business value and driving the use of data forward to enable the organisation to achieve its strategic objectives. Working exclusively with KDR Talent Solutions to grow their Chief Data Office and hire a Director level Business Intelligence and Analytics leader who will report into the CDO. Who you will work for The Chief Data Officer, who you’ll report to, is a visionary data leader, with strong pedigree in driving large and complex data initiatives forward and empowering their team to succeed. They report directly into the COO so the team is set up with amazing sponsorship from the top. The team sit centrally within the organisation, alongside the CTO and CIO and therefore acting as allies across the change portfolio and out into the wider business. The Role A role like this does not come around very often, if at all! This is an opportunity to take ownership of the strategy, delivery, and overall team for the business intelligence, analytics and ML / AI within the organisation. You will need to bring the following to the table:
- Extensive data and analytics leadership experience within banking. This means:You’ve managed large multi-disciplinary teams of 50+ including data science, BI and analytics
- You are comfortable in engaging and managing stakeholders to board level…
- …and equally comfortable working, enabling and motivating team members at all levels
- You are comfortable and have previously been the main BI / Analytics / AI Budget and Risk Owner
- Experience and background in rationalising large reporting estates and delivering impactful BI and MI to the business. Driving change and challenging with WHY? Advanced Analytics is second nature and the use / where / when / why is focused around business outcomes and the value you can add.
- AI and LLMs – When, where, why and HOW should AI be delivered to the business. This is your call and you’ll be willing to innovate and fail fast in order to succeed.You’ll understand risk, compliance, regulatory and ethical implications as you deliver some seriously cool stuff to the business.
