JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take ownership of the project serving as the primary point of contact for the office client and contractors.
- Lead the major processes of construction to ensure the project is completed successfully.
- Ensure the project meets time cost and quality control objectives.
- Select and assess team members performance ensuring alignment with business targets.
- Lead the full project team implementing the companys policies and procedures.
- Act as the Engineer under FIDIC contracts as required by the client.
- Collaborate with the Construction Supervision Head to plan organize and monitor all supervision activities ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
- Provide regular reports to ensure the project meets client expectations on time cost and quality.
- Ensure compliance with HSE guidelines minimizing environmental and safety risks onsite.
- Manage documentation design drawings reports change orders and other key project documents.
- Oversee communication between the client project manager (if any) and stakeholders.
- Ensure that weekly and monthly progress reports are completed accurately and address any issues promptly.
- Lead design review processes at the start of the project and resolve issues related to design integrity constructability and materials.
- Coordinate and resolve projectrelated issues during progress meetings with stakeholders.
- Implement and monitor the QA/QC program ensuring adherence to contract requirements specifications and quality standards.
- Review and comment on project documents materials and samples ensuring compliance with quality expectations.
- Provide guidance and assign tasks to staff working under your supervision ensuring feedback and reporting mechanisms are in place.
- Ensure that local authority regulations are respected and adhered to throughout the project.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering (Masters degree or PMP certification preferred).
- Strong knowledge of local authorities regulations and project management best practices.
- Ongoing professional development in areas relevant to project management and strategic practice.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction project management.
- At least 5 years of experience leading largescale construction projects.
- Proven experience in commercial management including internal financial monitoring (profit/loss procedures).
- Extensive experience in FIDIC contract environments.
- Expertise in managing and coordinating project tasks including construction programming and HSE/sustainability regulations.
- Familiarity with project management tasks as per international standards.
- Strong communication skills both written and spoken with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Sound knowledge of scheduling tools such as MS Project (Primavera experience preferred).
- Experience in program management is an advantage.
- Experience dealing with local authorities.
