Manufacturing Engineer Graduate

Job description

BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however, it is expected on our Graduate programme you will be required to attend your site 3-5 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.

What you will be doing

Graduates will use their innovative flair to transform designs into products and processes to help our manufacturing and construction teams deliver effectively cutting edge technology. You’ll be involved at multiple levels of the business, from solving manufacturing problems on the shop floor to working on strategic workflows to develop functional capabilities. There will also be the opportunity to work within programmes to better understand the business and increase your levels of product and business knowledge. To help develop your technical abilities you will be given delivery responsibility early on for objectives, one of which will be your improvement projects.

Duties and responsibilities

• Producing appropriate department documentation.
• Liaising with planning and other technical departments.
• Developing innovative process and product solutions.
• Identifying your development opportunities.
• Understanding, developing, and implementing greater customer and external relations.
• Working across manufacturing work streams to share best practice and develop your knowledge and skill set.

Skills

• As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM Subject.
