3 month contract with potential of extension. Location: UK - Remote with some travel to Europe and other client sites. Job summary The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Tech will be responsible for creating detailed drawings of delivery station layouts or delivery station concepts including material handling equipment, work areas, modules, and operations components based on current standards as well as designs supported for future initiatives. Drawings will require a high level of detail in both plan views as well as corresponding elevation views. The CAD Tech will work under the high-level project direction of a design engineer and collaborate with various stakeholder teams, both internal and external, to create an approved delivery station design set. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Working with Design Engineers to determine requirements for delivery station layouts, translating those requirements and standards into detailed interior CAD drawings, ensuring a high-level of accuracy and completeness Collaborate with Design Engineers, other CAD drafters, World Wide Engineering (WWE), Pre-Construction, Construction, external architects, Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) vendors, and Launch Execution teams, among others, to deliver a completed, approved design set. Review and engage with internal and external stakeholders to permit sets, structural drawings, elevations, and m floorplans as it pertains to questions around designs. Support the Design quality control process, which strives for accurate, zero-defect designs, through participation in daily peer reviews, adherence to design checklists and standards, and soliciting continuous feedback from Design Engineers. Responsible for delivering new designs, post-permit design updates, expansion, and retrofits to support associate and driver safety, quality, and productivity, and capacity increase for the delivery stations Implement new template designs, process improvements, safety processes, etc. into standard designs. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Drafting and Design · 3+ year experience in AutoCAD within an Architecture, Design, Civil, Construction, or Architecture capacity · Intermediate working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · Experience with 3D modelling, AutoTURN software packages, Revit, and BIM software · Experience in designing, drafting, and implementing warehouse, distribution centre, and fulfilment centres · Knowledge and experience with different types of material handling equipment and storage systems · Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders, and the ability to work under pressure in a cross functional organization · A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations · Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously · Demonstrated ability to work in a team and assist team members on complex issues · Ability to communicate to various audiences and stakeholders including written and verbal communications, and meeting facilitation. ·Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads, while maintaining a strong attention to detail, and working independently in a fast-paced and an ambiguous environment
