- System Requirements Analysis: Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop detailed system requirements specifications.
- Design Leadership: Drive design activities and develop comprehensive system architecture and design documentation that meets the security needs of large-scale facilities.
- Technical Integration: Provide leadership in integrating requirements, design, and technology to create innovative security solutions.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies, guiding users in formulating requirements and advising on alternative, innovative approaches to system design.
- Documentation Development: Collaborate in the development of all technical documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
- System Management: Manage and ensure that all system requirements are met to deliver designs that are compatible with the defined system architecture.
- Component Specification: Assist in developing system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation to individual components of the security system.
- Design Review Participation: Actively participate in design and program reviews to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Innovation in System Concepts: Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions, pushing the boundaries of traditional security system designs.
- Program and Contract Management: Review and provide input to program and contract work breakdown structure (WBS), work packages, and the integrated master schedule (IMS).
- Technical Integrity Assurance: Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Location: Based in Dublin, Ireland, or willing to relocate, with considerable flexibility for remote work arrangements as projects demand.
- Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of experience in physical security system design, preferably in data centers.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in designing electronic access control systems, CCTV, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
- Security Principles: Strong understanding of security principles, risk management, and mitigation strategies.
- System Familiarity: Familiarity with large security systems commonly used by leading technology companies, such as Lenel S2.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Design Software Experience: Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
