The Foundation School near Varthur/Gunjur in Bangalore and founded by IIT/IIM Alumni, is looking for a PGT Mathematics teacher Job title: PGT Mathematics Teacher Job Description: The PGT Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching students from Grades 9 to 12. This role requires a deep knowledge of the subject, as well as a commitment to inspiring both students and colleagues. The teacher should also have experience of working with students in bringing Mathematics to life by connecting it with real world examples, guiding students in Mathematics activities, helping set up Mathematics stalls during the science exhibition etc. The teacher should have a thorough understanding of Mathematics practical records as required by CBSE and conduct of projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics to students from upto Grade 12 with a strong focus on preparing senior secondary students for CBSE board exams.
- Develop and implement well-structured lesson plans that promote a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and their applications.
- Mentor junior teachers in the department, providing guidance on best teaching practices and classroom management strategies to ensure high-quality instruction.
- Assess and track students’ progress through formative and summative assessments, offering constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, preparing them for academic success and real-world applications of Mathematics.
- Provide support in organizing and supervising Mathematics-related extracurricular activities, competitions, and projects.
- Actively participate in departmental and school-wide meetings, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by school leadership, contributing to the broader life of the school.
- In-depth knowledge of the CBSE curriculum for Grades 11 and 12.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge students and help them excel in Mathematics.
- Fluency in English, with excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide junior teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment within the department.
