Job Description As a Scrum Master at HDFC Securities, you will be managing a team of talented engineers and own end to end delivery of the projects. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment by ensuring the Scrum framework is adhered to and facilitating the team’s continuous improvement. You will work closely with the product owner, development team, and other stakeholders to help the team deliver high-quality products on time. Responsibilities Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead and facilitate key Scrum events, including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. • Remove Obstacles: Identify and remove any impediments that might hinder the team’s progress, working proactively to resolve issues. • Support Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. Help identify areas for improvement in processes, tools, and teamwork. • Ensure Scrum Adoption: Coach the team on Agile and Scrum principles, ensuring adherence to best practices and Scrum ceremonies. • Work with the Product Owner: Support the Product Owner in managing and prioritising the product backlog, ensuring that the team is working on the highest-value features. • Foster Team Collaboration: Promote a collaborative and organising team culture. Encourage open communication, trust, and accountability among team members. • Track Progress: Assist in tracking key Scrum metrics (e.g., burndown charts, velocity, etc.) and report progress to relevant stakeholders. • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (Product Owner, Development Team, etc.) and act as a liaison to ensure alignment and transparency. • Encourage Agile Mindset: Advocate for Agile methodologies across the organization, helping others understand the benefits and processes behind Scrum. Qualifications, Experience & Expertise • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Scrum certification (e.g., PSM, SAFe). • Strong Facilitation Skills: Ability to facilitate meetings effectively and encourage team participation. • Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help the team overcome obstacles. • Knowledge of Agile Tools: Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, VersionOne, etc.). Desired Skills • Experience with Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe) or other Agile scaling methods. • Coaching Experience: Previous experience in coaching Agile teams or organisations to improve their Agile maturity. • Conflict Resolution: Ability to manage and resolve conflicts within teams to maintain a positive and productive environment. • Adaptability: Comfort in working with cross-functional teams and adapting to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
