BIM ARCHITECT

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage the execution of BIM processes on a day-to-day basis.
2. Provide support to the architectural design team and management staff.
3. Perform original design work using BIM specifications, sketches, and ideas.
4. Conduct preliminary studies of proposed projects to gather information on space and design requirements.
5. Prepare layout and preliminary BIM models for client presentations.
6. Develop BIM design concepts and approaches according to project criteria and architectural standards.
7. Analyze space utilization effectiveness and changing demands, recommending actions to meet new requirements.
8. Compile data for architectural plans, specifications, and reports using BIM software.
9. Prepare BIM models and detailed drawings required for contract documentation.
10. Coordinate the development of detailed working BIM models and specifications.
11. Assist with coordinating the bid process and reviewing BIM-related submissions.
12. Review shop drawings, specifications, and material recommendations to ensure adherence to contract requirements.
13. Prepare record drawings on completion of construction using BIM software.

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
2. Experience working for an Architectural Consultancy in the UAE is an advantage.
3. High-rise mixed-use experience (hospitality, residential, commercial).
4. Experience in Concept, strong in Schematic stages and Detailed Design stages.
5. Proficient in BIM software such as Revit (essential at a professional level), AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
6. Experience with additional tools like Dynamo, SketchUp, and Rhino would be an added advantage.
7. Conversant with international codes and standards for building design and BIM implementation.
8. Familiarity with quality assurance/quality control procedures applicable to BIM processes.
9. Excellent design, technical, and presentation skills within a BIM environment.
10. Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
11. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working autonomously within a BIM framework.
12. Flexible, open to new ideas and feedback.
13. Strong communication skills with team members, Senior Architects, and management.
14. Ability to develop and maintain BIM standards and protocols.
15. Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary BIM projects.
