Make an Impact by: Conducting site surveys and visits to understand customer needs, existing infrastructure, and proposing home solutions for customers. The solution may comprise connectivity (e.g., wired, fibre, wireless), services (e.g., broadband, TV, voice, home automation, security services) that meet customer needs. Preparing accurate quotations and liaising with partners to schedule project activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely completion. Monitoring project progress, ensuring deadlines are met, and proactively making necessary adjustments or changes to maintain project timelines. Overseeing the installation, setup, and commissioning of network cables, broadband, TV, and digital voice services, ensuring proper configuration and optimal performance. Attending onsite to resolve customer technical faults. In the event resolution is not possible during the onsite, gathering logs and information and coordinating with the respective stakeholders to ensure resolution is achieved within the agreed timeframe. If resolution can be achieved, sharing root causes and recommending good practices and preventive measures. Being the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for VVIPs on their technical queries or fault reporting channels, managing their expectations, sentiment, and handling unfavorable situations with tact, empathy, and professionalism. Prioritizing and responding to technical faults within 2 hours for higher priority segments during office hours, acting as a 24/7 service concierge for high-value segment customers. Conducting extensive testing on recently introduced equipment, products, and services. Evaluating appeals made by partners regarding requests for repeated visits. Providing periodic knowledge sharing to fellow field engineers on technology, upcoming trends, whitepapers, tips, and tricks on our services to strengthen field engineers’ knowledge (including partners). Providing regular feedback on customer needs and behaviors. Managing and inventorying company-issued equipment and assets, liaising with the store for periodic replenishment of equipment and devices. Attending training, self-study, and undergoing any external certification required (e.g., fibre, work at height, electrical). Sharing process gaps, non-productive procedures, or customer pain points. Providing regular updates on job status, highlighting completed tasks, ongoing projects, and calling out any key challenges or obstacles that may impact project delivery or timelines. Skills for Success: Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or Customer Service. Additional technical certifications are a plus. Experience as a Field Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in the home/office networking, telecommunications, or green technology industry. Willingness to work on weekends or public holidays. Good understanding of technical knowledge in data communication (wired, wireless), internet security, and home automation. Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, adapting to various work environments and customer requirements. Valid Class 3 driving license. Customer-oriented with strong negotiation and communication skills (oral and written). Highly adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
