A day in the life:

As our Data Platform Engineering Manager on the Data Platform Engineering team, you’ll provide strategic direction and leadership to the team, overseeing the implementation of strategies designed to enhance data reliability and minimize redundancies. You will direct the development and operation of MMA’s data platform, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and secure. You’ll establish KPIs and metrics to measure engineering performance and productivity, define and execute the data platform roadmap, and design robust, scalable data platforms to support various business applications and analytics.

Our future colleague:

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
  1. 15+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related fields, with deep expertise in designing and building distributed data systems and large-scale data warehouses.
  2. Over 10 years of experience building large-scale data analytics platforms using real-time streaming analytics, data warehouses, data lakes, Data Pipelines, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools at scale.
  3. 5 to 7 years of experience in Cloud database technologies.
  4. Hands-on experience architecting and building secure, scalable, and flexible enterprise data projects in Microsoft Azure.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills, capable of delivering executive-level presentations.
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
  1. Knowledge of Agency Management systems like Applied EPIC and Vertafore Sagitta, Benefit Point is a major plus.
