The Test Engineer will be based in Changi South reporting to NPI Manager. Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment for state-of-the-art semiconductor component manufacturing equipment. Job Responsibilities Directs and/or coordinates test process flow for system integration and modular testing of high precision electromechanical assemblies. Directs and/or coordinates test solutions for system integration and modular testing in collaboration with OEM to meet product functional performance and achieve zero defects in the field. Directs and/or coordinates electronic and electromechanical engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing. Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test and record test data. Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation, or coding issues. Evaluates and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for monitoring and management purposes. Resolves test yield problems by evaluating root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures, and monitoring improvements. Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians, and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem-solving techniques. Performs and supports equipment verification and integration in production. May develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software. Creates and maintains process documentation. Actively searches for innovative technologies or procedures in the test sector. Defines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics or Mechatronics field or equivalent experience and training, requiring at least 4 years of experience in test engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area. Modular/System Integration Testing: Product functional testing and troubleshooting various test solutions at various levels: component, modular, and final system. Experience in functional software, measuring equipment (Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, sensors, measuring gauges, etc.) and tools that are integrated to perform the functional test to cover product functionality. Experience in modifying or updating existing software solutions to support product design changes or test enhancements. Experience in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures to enable ease of manufacturing and meet all audit compliance. Inspection: PCBA board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools. Handling Mechanical & Electrical Tools: taps and dies, alignment tools, measuring tools. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with managers and employees of the organization. Impacts the near-term (quarterly/semi-annual) operational success of the function. Enhances and provides input to functional processes or technologies. Assists in achieving section/sub-function objectives for a functional area. Demonstrates capability in leading a major initiative that may impact multiple sites/customers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
