The Role
- Attend site visits to understand the existing building services and liaise with sub-contractors during the tender stage.
- Develop a detailed project implementation plan and track on a regular basis. Ensure the project is in line with timelines and budgets.
- Provide weekly updates internally to senior management and externally to clients.
- Hold regular contractor and vendor meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned with the programme.
- Responsible for key account management and maintaining and fostering the client relationship.
- Conduct site inspections and energy surveys when necessary to produce investment-grade design reports and carbon reduction opportunities.
- Manage energy & sustainability projects from concept to handover stage.
- Prepare sustainability strategies for clients.
- Prepare technical and financial reports.
- Complete additional training/education where needed and mentor less experienced staff.
- Monitor and optimise savings during the performance stage via our in-house Lawler Vision monitoring and control system.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications
- Holder of a Third Level Diploma/Degree in Facilities/Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical, or Sustainability Engineering.
- Good technical knowledge of building engineering energy systems.
- Capability of managing projects within timelines and budgets.
- Experience in site works, including auditing and identifying energy-saving opportunities.
- Strong customer focus, resourceful problem solver, and with initiative; empathetic to clients’ day-to-day business problems and frustrations.
- 3+ years of experience in a relevant field.
- Understand and apply current and proposed sustainability-related legislation (Building and Planning regulations).
- Experience with cost estimates for renewable energy systems.
- Familiarity with the preparation of tender documentation and associated administration.
- Energy Auditor for SI426/SI599 / Certified Energy Manager.
- Knowledge of building and energy management systems.
