This position provides insights into the creation, alignment, and input into global, regional, and local sourcing strategies, while representing the needs of BU stakeholders and market dynamics in partnership with the category teams. This internship will be focused on identifying and delivering business benefits aligned with the assurance of supply, quality, service, cost, and innovation, while also serving as a business partner to the BU through the execution of category strategies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operational Responsibilities: Driving operational efficiencies by ensuring compliance with the Contract & Preferred Supplier List and managing tail spend through the ARIBA Buying Goods and Services Platform, where applicable. Achieving savings targets in collaboration with key stakeholders and Finance, in line with the Savings Methodology and aligned with global budgets, partnering with the Global and Regional category teams. Implementing global best practices while managing exceptions to accommodate local market needs, ensuring agility and speed to market. Coordinating with the regional sourcing team to ensure the timely and seamless execution of sourcing projects. Strategy Execution and Sourcing: Support the Head of Procurement while taking responsibility for executing your own sourcing activities. This may include sourcing projects aimed at identifying the best suppliers who can meet Haleon’s business requirements. Collaborate with relevant category teams, providing local business requirements and market insights to support the development and execution of effective regional and global strategies. Execute global sourcing strategies across multiple spend categories within your area of responsibility, operating with a global mindset and ensuring alignment with all applicable LOC dimensions. Understand how global strategies impact local markets and develop processes for educating and communicating with regional Procurement leads and business units. Serve as the local expert for the spend categories within your area of responsibility. Benefit Delivery: Ensure financial benefits are managed in line with the Procurement Plan and Savings Methodology, securing agreement with the business unit and Finance on the financial value delivered. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management: Build strategic relationships with local stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for value creation, and effectively position Procurement’s value proposition. External Supplier Relationships: Execute and manage contracts with suppliers to maximize global opportunities for Haleon. Manage the local supply base for the categories within scope through a robust performance management process. Administration: Support the P2P (Purchase to Pay) process by promptly and courteously addressing queries. Assist with vendor onboarding and proactively manage new suppliers and partners, ensuring that vendor information in the SAP system is accurate and up to date.
