Location: Dublin Type: Contract Category: Technology Overview: Our client is seeking a passionate and innovative Software Test Engineer to join their agile team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge payment solutions through their Payment Gateway Service. This role is perfect for a Software Test Engineer eager to make an immediate impact on a rapidly growing platform. Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute comprehensive Quality/Test strategies, including integration and functional testing.
- Review project timelines, focusing on test plans and acceptance criteria.
- Design and maintain test automation frameworks, tools, and test suites.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to embed quality and testing standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Build robust test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools such as Playwright.
- Experience in debugging and testing UI and Java/JVM-based applications.
- Proficiency with modern quality engineering and test automation tools (e.g., JUnit, Jenkins, Selenium, TestNG, JMeter).
- Strong background in creating test automation scripts from scratch using OOP languages and frameworks like Selenium.
- Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to create effective acceptance and integration test automation scripts, integrating them with continuous integration systems like Jenkins or Bamboo, and utilizing code coverage tools like Sonar or Clover.
- Exposure to performance engineering requirements is a plus.
- Experience testing cloud applications is desirable.
- Familiarity with developing Java-based web services is a bonus but not required.
